Park Young-Yil
Abstract
The main purpose of the present investigation is to examine the differences in coping between male prisoners who recognized their criminal acts were related with drinking and who did not. Results indicated that prisoners were less forgetting actively, evaluating positively, making a positive comparison with others, calming themselves emotionally, and seeking emotional support from others than non-criminals, while they had been more criticizing themselves than non-criminals. And prisoners who recognized their criminal acts were related with drinking were more stubborn and seeking religious solutions than prisoners who recognized their criminal acts were not related with drinking, while they were less calming themselves emotionally and making a positive comparison with others.
